A child prodigy, Megon was already writing songs and performing on stage at age 17. She is a distinguished vocalist who has opened for John Denver at Carnegie Hall and has also performed with Steve Martin and Harry Chapin. She is equally proficient with guitar and the piano and classifies her music style as folk/cabaret citing her love of theater and jazz as the reason for the unusual mix. As an inaugural member of the folk group “Four Bitchin’ Babes”, her wit and folk sensibilities comment on the ups and downs of everyday life.
Megon has also had an acclaimed acting career receiving rave reviews for playing Patsy Cline in “Always Patsy Cline” for which she was nominated for the prestigious Joseph Jefferson Award. Megon serves as Music Director at Unity Northwest Church in Des Plaines and still can be seen touring with the Babes in “ the Best of the Babes” as well as in other solo appearances.
